Adding names to menu - Vodavi Voice Mail System

Does anyone know how to update the menu to add a new name so that someone calling can dial the last name and get the correct voice mail box?

Ohh Ohh, I do, I do.
But saying "Vodavi" is similar to saying "Ford" - both manufacturers made a lot of products over their history and you cannot even begin to provide guidance without more information on specific model. That said, many of the Vodavi products required a particular software application in order to make this type of change. Without that app, you're really out of luck. Other products used monitor/keyboard or communications package to access admin terminal. This is something that an on site tech with the right "tools" could fix up in 30 minutes or less. Or you may be able to find the manual on line and widdle thru it if you have the aptitude.

Ok - well everything else is done through the phone key pad, but I have never been able to figure this part out. Our phones are Starplus DHS - but the voice mail system just says Vodavi. I haven't called the tech because of the $100 minimum charge!

Phone system config is via keyset or PC, SOME voicemail functions may be done via keyset (depending on which product) - but often not auto attend renovations. There will be a part number on the voicemail that will help in determining what it is. And $100 is a very reasonable minimum charge in our world - it costs a lot to get a trained technician to a customer site.
