IF YOU ARE ADDING MEMORY ENSURE PARITY OF MEMORY CHIP SHOULD NOT MAKE ANY PROBLEM.

the more memory the better.
And of course it has to match the harware, that is obvious

Have a look at the shop @ !

if you are running enterprise on 2000 advanced server dont forget to add " /3GB /USERVA=3030 " to the boot.ini file.

Worth a note I think, Exchange will rarley use more than 1.5Gb. In fact I can't get the store to use more than 1.2

Worth the extra memory if you are running more on the box, ie plugins etc.

The best way to increase performance of exchange is to take a look at your disk sub system. Using only raid 1 on the log files and 5 on the db's seems to be the perferred way. Splitting the logs and data makes a difference, as does increasing the amount of spindles and reducing the disk size

Adding extra processors also seems to make some difference, but not sure how effective EX is at using multi processors.

If anyone has any other ideas I am always on the lookout for more ways to squezze more from our box.
