adding mem above 2 gig 1

hi..
i recently add my memory up to 3GB on windows xp pro.
i read that i must supply /3GB in boot.ini to make application work with 3Gig memory, but my system is just keep on rebooting with that config in boot.ini

anyone ever try this /3GB switch and works?

How much quicker is your machine now with the added RAM? How much did you have before?
