Adding HP Jetdirect Printer to SCO 5.06 -- Device not a Terminal??? 1

I had added the printer to printing queue using HP Jetdirect menu, test print from the menu all working good.

I cannot print from SCO 5.06 due to device is not terminal?

Is your second command "lpm"? I'm not sure I know what that command does.

Was this printer previously configured on a serial port? If so, your interface file might have some "stty" commands which should be disabled. Also, check for any Stty options in the /usr/spool/lp/admins/lp/printers/HP4050N/configuration file.

the note passing down to me listed the lpm for getting status on all the printer = lpstat . I'm wondering about the orgin of that command too. No other infos around to know

I removed and copy the known good working interface under the model all working good now.
