adding homepages to email messages

Hi everyone,

I have received emails with a portion of companies' homepages in it.

Can you tell me how they do it? Is it all done with Javascript? If so, is there any hint you could give me.
If this is asking for too much in such a short place to give an answer, can you tell what book would show me or an article you read which would point me to that direction?

I appreciate your help. I am new in the field. Help me out.

Mre than likely you are getting an automated e-mail sent from their server that is coded to send html code as part of the email. That's fairly easy to do as all you have to do is just include html in the body of your e-mails. As for generating e-mails I'm sure a google search can show you how to do that quite easily.
