Can someone point me in the right direction of how to add an embedded music file (recorded message) to an an ACD path prior to the ACD agent skill group calling?
The embedded music file is a recorded message "thank you for calling... you will be connected to our next available operator", I need this to play first before the the ACD agent groups are called.
Make more sense now?
The file has been uploaded onto the switch already as embedded media source #1
Number coming into the switch is 597
I pressumed that you could simply set the path as follows:
Priority 64
Primary Agent Skill Group ID - 460
Recording 1: delay to start time minutes (BLANK)
Recording 1: delay to start time seconds (01)
Ok, that what I thought you were doing but that has nothing to do with Music so I had to ask. What you are looking for is called a Pre-announcement. It is typically supplied by a Recorded Announcement Device (RAD). Voicemail ports can be dedicated to delivering Rad greetings. The simplest method is to setup and ACD group in front of your current group that has a member group with no agents. The rad for that group will be the Pre-Announcement. The ACD Path will interflow to the current group on a timer that matches the length of the pre-announcement greeting.
Caveat - If you have a reporting package that reports the queue activity then do not use the above method. In fact you might want to give up on the idea altogether.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.
- Remove existing VM ports from voice group (leave 1st and last member in)
- Change greeting setup of VM port to play a RAD greeting set.
- Set RAD greeting set to play a RAD greeting (or sequential greetings)
- Modify VM port COS to remove COV VM port option and Add RAD option and Advanced RAD option.
- Upload the RAD greeting using the same form/method as the music file.
All steps might not be above, that was off the top of my head. Use the help files to fill in any blanks.
