I have a Definity G3 V7 phone system. AT&T just assigned me a block of DID numbers to my PRI I needed. I have never added new numbers. How do I add these numbers to my system so that I may assign them to users.

Thanks

As long as they are in your Dial plan range you should be fine. Just assign station as you need them.

How do I add these to my dial plan. When I do a list station the extensions are not there. How do I get them into the system so that they may be configured and used.

The command you're looking for is "cha dial ana". Then just create new stations with the new DID numbers.

I am using 3 digits at this site and 4 at another. I entered the command cha dial ana and this is not a correct command for my system (Definity G3 v7). Any other help?

First off, you do not add DID number to the switch. What you do add is phone extension that have the same last 4 or last 3 digit that match up to your DID bloc.

i.e. 404-123-4567, 4 digit extension, then the extension would be 4567. 3 digit, the ext. would be 567, etc.

I can not remember what the command is for that version of the software. Enter DIsp, then hit help and look through the commands, you should be able to find it.
Once you find the command, you want to see if the DID bloc you have (for example 4000-4999) that the 4xxx is set to ext. You may also have a issue with the second digit table, depending on what was done.
