Hi All,

I have a list of records that are already defined, and I also have a form that can view the contents of these forms.

My question is, how do I add the current Date/Time automatically on viewing the EXISTING records?

I know how to add the Date/Time automatically for NEW records using this form.

Thanks in advance.

Have a look at the Current event procedure of the form.

Hope This Helps, PH.

Excellent, Thanks very much for that!

Is there a way to only allow the date to be set if it doesn't have a value already?

With this current approach, it changes everytime it is viewed.

Thanks again.

I've found a solution now.

On the event of a user changing a value contained on the form, I run a macro which sets the date and time.

Thanks for all the help!

You said:
automatically on viewing the EXISTING records
thus my suggestion of the Current event.

If you've said:
automatically on modifying the EXISTING records
I'd suggested the BeforeUpdate event procedure of the form (and that would cover the new records too ...)

Hope This Helps, PH.
