Whenever I add a new control to an existing userform in Excel 2000 and try
to add code behind it, the control is not recognized. Double-clicking on
the control just takes you to the top of the module. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

Well, it would help to know what sort of control you're trying to add....
Is it a textbox, a combo box, a list box, a command button, a image ???????????

Also, what are your property settings on the control? is the "visible" property set to true?

Be glad to answer your Q, but need a little more to go on ;)

I am also having difficulties working with Excel 2000 Userforms. Whenever, I attempt to add a control, any control, from the toolbox, it completely locks up and I have to reset my computer. This also happens when working with userforms in Word as well.

I am using Windows NT Workstation 4.0 and I am not sure if there is incompatibility issues between NT and VBA.

I have checked Microsoft's Knowledge Base, Newgroups, Product Updates, and have emailed there tech support (still waiting on response), but have had no luck resolving the issue. If anybody has any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated.

SWmiller- I would recommend first trying to uninstall MS Office, then reinstalling. During reinstall, be sure to read carefully each screen that comes up and make sure that everything's configured correctly from the jump-go. It sounds like you've either gotten a bad installation, OR your native sotware/hardware platform just doesn't like Office forms...

Good luck!

AncientTiger,
I appreciate the concern. Fortunately, when I updated to the SR-2 Office Update this afternoon, it fixed the problem.
If that didn't work, I was beginning to consider your suggestion.

Using Access ,I need a command button to do he following:
* Make a Blank database.
* Export all data in a specific query from the current database to the new database.

Doerws anyone know the VBA code for first creating a new Access file and also exporting data in a query to that file?
