Adding Control Handles To Stencils?

I've got a number of connector stencils that someone else created... some of them have a yellow diamond in the them that allows me to manipulate the positioning of the object...

How can I add another one of these control handles?

Question - I've found the MSDN page listing all the functions (USERUI, UCON_X1, etc)... but how do I understand what they do and their syntax?
