I am trying to create a new auto attendant for one of our DID #'s. I was able to do it before with some help and I am pretty much copying what we did last time we had to create an auto attendant to make another one in Voicemail Pro. For some reason though I just can't get it. When I call the DID # directly the voicemail pro system picks up and asks me to enter an extension and password. The Auto Attendant I created won't come up at all with the voice prompt I have created for this new auto attendant. What could I be missing? I have checked my settings over and over and it's driving me crazy!

Any help would be appreciated!

VmPro or embedded?
how are you routing the calls to the auto attendant?

Did you use a module or shortcode in VM Pro to build your AA`?
How does you incoming call route look?

I am using a module in Voicemail Pro to build the auto attendant. I am then pointing the incoming call route for the DID number to VM:(name of voicemail pro module)

You don't have space or any other strange characters in the name?

No it's just called Bluffs. So for the incoming call route i have the destination as VM:Bluffs and instead it's pulling up the IP office voicemail instead of going to the auto attendant.

You have done the save & make live in online mode? (not offline?)

Kind regards

Gunnar

yes I have made sure I am online.

I have not created a shortcode or anything for this VM Auto attendant but I didn't think I had to since I didn't have to do it for the last one I created?

Is it because my Voicemail Pro server is ridiculously old and it's running on Windows 7? :)

Win7 works just fine.

It's probably your ICR ( spelling mistakes )
But you may want to try restarting the VMPro service, and if that doesn't work do a VMPro server reboot.

If that fails, post the configs here, we'll take a look at it.

Kind regards

Well a server reboot didn't work so how do i go about posting a config? sorry haven't had to do that before...

In your VMPro client: File> Import/Export> Export> Folder + Filename> all of config (.MDB)> OK.

IPO: File> Save As...

Then use the Attachment feature that you see right at the bottom of this page

Kind regards

I did also change the name of the voicemailpro module i was using for the auto attendant to AutoAttend2

You have a very old system, must be 12+ years.

I would try another name for the module, like NEW_IVR.

To test from the inside, make a short code:
#555#/ Voicemail Collect / "NEW_IVR" / 0

The IPO Config needs some cleaning too.
- ICR could be reduced to 3-4 entries (you have DDI's matching the extn, so an ICR 2754XXX / # is enough)
- Same goes for the Voicemail short codes
- One ICR targets NIGHT, but I don't see any Night HG , user or module.

Kind regards

Well I tried to create a shortcode to test it just like you have above and it's just doing a voicemail collect accessing the voicemail system and not pulling up the auto attendant. UGH! :)

It could be that it's broken, in need of a rebuild.

The voicemail module? or the whole phone system? :)

In my opinion, you should start from scratch.
There are some really strange things and dead ends in there (mostly vmpro).

Kind regards
