For some odd reason when I open the printers folder there are no printers listed even though the server has 4 shared printers that can be seen over the network. When I click add printer the printer wizard does not appear and nothing happens. The computer is the Domain Controller and I am logged in as the administrator.

Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Most likely, Either your Print Spooler or Printer Status Server service is stopped (or hung). Restart it and your printers should reappear.

Thanks, I should have mentioned I stopped the spooler and restarted it. However, I was able to find some information on the problem. The problem was caused by a third-party utility that placed earlier version of certain (.DLL) in the %systemroot% folder. If anyone is at all interested please see Microsoft Article ID: Q271248. Thanks again for your response.

I am experiencing the same behavior as described above. However, I tried the solution from Microsoft but I do not have any other dll's in the %systemroot% directory besides the three that were mentioned. I stoped and restarted the spooler service. I still cannot view or add printers from the printer control panel. I can open Notepad and choose File->Print and view all my printers from there, add printers and print anything. Any ideas why they do not appear in the printer control panel?

Thanks,
