adding an answering machine

Our norstar mics doesn't have voicemail, and is using analog cards coming from a 66 block. If we were wanting to add a couple pots answering machines, couldn't I just tap into the 66 block before the norstar for when we're out of the office and not affect the system in any bad way? During normal business hours/phone usage the answering machines would be off.

You could tap into the existing analog lines without affecting the MICS telephone system
