Adding additional mailboxes from Exchange Manager

Does anyone know of a way to add additional mailboxes to a user's profile without having to go their PC and do the old 'Tools > Services > Microsoft Exchange Server (Properties) > Advanced > Mailboxes' thing?

I have searched for a solution but I can't find anything.

(Exchange 2000 and Outlook 2000/2002 btw.)

If you set an alias (SMTP) in exchange users and computers that might do the trick.

I don't understand how setting an alias will help. Excuse my ignorance, but how will that add the mailbox to their profile?
