Hi All,

I added my HP Photosmart 8250 printer that is locally installed on my XP machine to my G5 thru the G5 printer add after sharing it on my XP. Do I need to install the HP Apple driver on the G5 also? Or because it's using the XP as a "print server", it shouldn't need it? Thanks in advance.

Best Regards, Todd

You'll need to add the driver to the Mac. Then you point at the network share. Never done it to an XP box, always use a server.

Thanks VERY much. I'll give it a shot. Should I delete the network one that I already added, first?

You can probably modify it if you mean you added a network printer to the G5.

I'm so used to Windows, I can't figure out how you modify it...smile. I might just delete it and try adding it in with the HP software.
