Adding a Route in a HP-UX Server 10.20

I have 4 HP-UX Servers, I need to add a route in them i added to all of them in the netconf, and i did add it manually by using route add net, however when i type a netstat -rn i cant see it added there, i even rebooted the server but im unable to see the new route in the Routing Table if i do a netstst -rn... what can be the problem ??!?!?!??!

Did you add the "default" gateway?
i.e. /etc/route add default $hostip

Also is the lan0 route in?
