Hi,
I have 2 questions:

1) I want to add a new line (attribute) to a block with attributes that I've already defined. Is there a simple way of doing this without having to recreate the block?

2) Is there a good way of creating tables in AutoCAD?

Thanks for any suggestions!

Debbie

I have had some success with the ATTREDEF command.

definition of the command:
Modifies existing attribute definitions contained in blocks and updates any existing blocks. New attributes added to existing blocks receive their default value, exisitng attributes maintain their values, and delted attributes are removed. Only thing is you need to know exact name of existing block you want modified.

As far as tables, lets say importing tables or schdules from Excel to CAD, I use a third party program, here is the link
Hope that helps.

Thank you. I will try ATTREDEF.

I will go to the caddaddon link re: tables. It's unfortunate AutoCAD doesn't have a tool to make tables. I've emailed AutoDesk with this suggestion.

Thanks again.
