Adding a phone field in contacts

I am using outlook contacts and would like to add phone fields to the phone numbers in the detailed address view e.g. another mobile , home 3 , business 3 , packet 8 etc...
I tried everything and consulted every book , but no way . The addition will show up if I switch to phone list , but not in the detailed view .
Any suggestions ???

What version of Outlook? Do you mean that when Outlook Contacts are open, you go to View, Current View, Detailed Address Cards and the additional phone numbers are not displayed?

I use outlook 2003 . Yes I did in phone fields : current view , customize and add fields . The fields show up in view phone list , but do not show up when outlook contacts are open in the detailed address view .
Also you cannot cutomize the phone fields e=when you are in Detailed address fields .
My question : how do you add phone fields to show up in the detailed address view , so that you can add phone numbers from this view .
