I need to add a Dual Port PRI/T1 card to my Option 61 then create a trunck group, DCH, route ect... for a new PRI.

I'm not possitive where to start.
I've read several white papers that say to use LD 17 and add the card in the CEQU/DLOP.

If someone could help me get started I believe I can figure out the rest.

Please help

That is correct, prt your CEQU so you have something to go by. DLOP will require Loop number, channels, frame format.
Mode, line code (B8zs or AMI) yalm (propably DG2). Come back for more info when needed.

Actually, (not carved in stone) trk apt to be DG2 & PRI apt to be FDL. (on yalm)

So do I do a chg to cequ or new in LD 17. I'm assuming it is a chg since I did not see new as a req option.
Is this correct?

correct, you are changing the "whole" CFN by adding the new entity.

Ok...
Makes sense.
I'll give it a try.

thank you

Firstly you need to find a free loop on your Opt 61C.

ld 22
req: prt
type :cequ

In ld 73 create your threshold table

ld 73
req: new
type : ddb

In ld 17

req: chg
type :cequ
dlop : loop# #of B channels Framing format (e.g 2 23 esf)
mode : pri
tmdi : no (the default is yes)
lcmt : b8s
yalm : fdl
trsh : the one define in ld 73

Then set the clock reference in ld 73

req: chg
type: ddb
pref : <------loop number of primary reference
sref : <------loop number of secondary reference

req: chg
type: adan
adan : new dch x <------new d-channel.

The D-channel can be a downloadable one or by using a MSDL card.

In ld 16 - Define your pri route
In ld 17 - Define your pri trunks

To bring the link up, use ld 96 to enable the d-channel and ld 60 to bring up the pri loop.

if your not sure where to put that card, post your cequ

If you already have PRIs in the switch, don't worry about LD 73.

Thank you all for your help!
You all have been a great help.
Just for my own knowledge.
How can you tell that slot 8 on 0/0 is available?

i would hold 8 for a loop.. just because it can be an ipe.. and put my pri in 18 and 19 just to the right of

Code:
CONF * 001 * 017
  MFSD * 000 * 016

that conf/tds in 16 and 17.. that space can not be used ever for another ipe.. your next ipe would be in 20, if i was building one.. still holding 8.. i'm sure your wanting to kill those terq/terd boxes one day

I was trying to make it easy on you, but John has a good point ablout holding that for a superloop. When you look physically look in your shelves, you have 1 full network group, 32 possible loops - 0 thru 31. Super loops are always multiples of 4 0/0 can have 0 4 8 12 (never seen a zero) group 0 shelf 1 0/1 is 16 20 24 28. If you look in 0/0 and see the superloop card - says NET, look at the blue desi strip on the bottom of the shelf, SLP, okay, think of that NET as 4,5,6,7 - the next SLP is 8 (should be an empty slot. NET takes 1 slot, but uses two. You pick if it is slotted left or right in LD 97. Look where John said 0/1 conf/TDS, the SLP next to it is 18/19. Dual PRIs are like two loops, so you could have 18/19 20/21 if you disired. Just remember mulitples of four when trying to count you slots.

I have the daughter card installed on my Dual PRI/T1 card and am adding the D Channel (5) to Loop 18, the new loop.
What should I answer for CTYP (DCHI?) and I have not a clue for DNUM.
Any help anyone can provide would be great!

Not sure of your existing ADAN
CTYP: MSDL

DNUM: see if it will take 10 without giving you a schwartz code.

the device number is a switch setting on the card.. it must be unique per group.. map dch (ld 96) will show you msdl device numbers in the switch..

if you just pick a number, hoping to guess right.. it will not work

that command shows the device number of daughter boards as well. they can not be duplicated per group.. that will assign an interupt twice...

MY bad.

S 3 (dip switch)

Default is on off off off (device 1) you can use DNUM 1 w/o making a chg, or set it yourself, 16 possible
Here is DNUM 2 - 5, 16 possible.

2 off on off off
3 on on off off
4 off off on off
5 on off on off
