I am trying to change the outgoing CLI on a customers 3300ICP running Software version 5.2.6.8_1.

I have tried the help but I can not find where to modify the default CLI or substitute it for another number.

Any one got any work arounds or know how to do this.

Which trunks you are using?
Usually for PRI trunks with DID,we can play with CLI from the CPN substitution form.

They are using 2 pri trunks with DID. What I am trying to do is get a range of DIDs to use a CLI and another range with a different DID

what u are trying to achieve is done by the CPN substitution form. You can have different ranges of numbers or explicit extensions use CLI that you specify. Very simple.

I don't know the names of the forms but the CPN subtition is one. Basically you specify the range(s) and next to it the CLI you want to use.

Then in another form you assign the "indexes" ( I like to call it that) to the various links. Obviously you can assign mulitiple indexes to multiple links.

hope this helps. btw it's in the online help file

Also, if you upgrade to the latest software, you can use the "Department" field in the Tel Directory to output special names. Watch out though, this field is only 10 characters.

Just stepping in here, Sorry if this is redundant. At the software level you are running I believe you must have a NSU running your PRI's correct? If my assumption is correct. you need to use IMAT (provided on the 3300 CD) to communicate with the NSU to change CLI for outbound calls. If you are not familiar with IMAT, I do not recommend you proceed without help as you can mess things up real bad if you're not careful. Also, a system outage is required to reset the NSU and activate the changes.

version 5.2 supported the embedded E1 module. kwbMitel is that what your concern was?

Yah, Couldn't remember how far back it was introduced.

Alnewman doesn't say and I try never to assume.

We need to know is NSU involved. If so you need to use IMAT and configure NSU. If it's embedded PRI you should be able to configure CPN

Hello All

The 3300 has a dual port PRI card with no NSU involved.
