I'm extrememly new to working with the PBX at work, and I have two questions that I need help with.

1. The local carrier has already assigned us DID's, some of which are in use, some are not. How do I activate one of those? I know how to add a simple extension, what must be done differently?

2. Our administrative assistant wants her phone to ring when the CEO's does. The lines are already programmed to her phone and she can pick them up if she actually sees them light up (Keys 08 and 09). What do I need to add in the code to make her phone actually ring for these calls?

Any help is greatly appreciated,

1. You need to assign a key on a digi phone as SCR xxxx.
xxxx being the unused DDi number. Or assign Dn xxxx to an analog phone.

2. The SCR above is for single call ringing, SCN for Non-ringing. ( Or could be MCR/MCN for multiple call ringing)

Have Fun.

echg yes
key 8 scn 1234
key 9 scr 2345

that would make key 8 a non ringing station and key 9 ring.. if it's a did or not, the switch does not care on the station level.. might try a search in this forum, your about 40,000 pages behind the class..
