Because of new hires, we have to upgrade our BCM 400, v3.7, but of course there's not much cash to do it. I've got all the hardware in place and ready to go. I assume there's additional configuration after installing the DSM. Can someone point me to docs about this process or give me some tips?

Thanks in advance

All the documentation resides on the hardrive. The only thing you need to do is look for an open Bus. A DSM32+ is going to use a full Bus. Set the dipswitches to match the open Bus, power down BCM, remove plastic dust cover and install DSM32+. Power up BCM. Done.

Adversity is Opportunity

I tried installing the DSM 32+ on my 6/2 PDD system this morning. I set the dip switches to FNNNFN (F=Off, N=On) to use bus 4. After inserting and installing it, the power and status lights are green. When I check the universal manager under Resources->Media Bay modules->Bus 04, the state is Unequipped. I power down and change the switches to FNNNFF to use bus 5. I power on, and both lights are green but Bus 5 is Unequipped. I disable and enable Bus 5, still Unequipped. Bus Type=Station Module and the cables have not been connected to the module.

Do I have a lemon module or did I not do something?

Below is a listing of module settings before the installation.
DIP BUS MODULE TYPE
NNNFNF 7 DTM
<Empty>
FNNNNF 3 DSM 32+
FNFNNN 2 DSM 32+

Thanks for the help!

I think that the configuration and the DSM are OK.

However, you need conect someone phone to see the bus active.

When i don't have any phones conected, i see on MBM:
Bus 02 - > Unequipped

And when i conect some phones:
Bus 02 - > Enabled

The BCM don't detect if the DSM is conected. The BCM detects the phones conected on DSM. I think.
