Greetings,

Had a question on adding a small 2 IP phone, 2 ATA, 4 POTS line site. The site has only 1 user and only 2 IP phones will be needed. The site's WAN is being upgraded from copper based circuits to a fiber based Ethernet circuit.

Can the 1-2 phone IP deployment be accomplished by using the following hardware?

1 x 2811 router with 1 memory module
1 x 4 port FXO card (already in 2811)
1 x 3560 LAN switch w/PoE
2 x ATA 187's
2 x 7941G's

note: WAN infrastructure in place has hardware based firewall so rule base allowing port traffic from/to subnets is understood

Thank you for any and all helpful insight!

Why a 3560 switch? Throw a fastethernet POE card in the 2811 and call it a day.

If you insist on a standalone switch check out the 2960 - they make an 8 port POE version.

thank you jpm121, the 3560 is already in... the site has many LAN based systems that need the 3560 but only a couple work stations...
