Adding 400EC help

In a 5 slot ACS system I have, starting at the left, 400EC, Partner Mail, ACS R.3. To add another 400EC do I need to move the partner mail to the 4th slot and put the new 400EC in slot 2? Do I need to do anything to the voice mail before I power the system down to prevent information loss? Thanks, Don

No need to move the voicemail. Just power down and add the 400EC to the 4th slot. The voicemail data is stored on a hard drive so nothing will be lost when powering off. You will just need to program in the new line ports that will be active on the system.
