Im adding a 308EC to a 5 slot ACS system (3.0). Since the instructions state that the 308 has to be in the far left slot I will be moving the existing 400EC and 200EC over. Do the lines and extentions start counting on the processer and then continue counting at the left slot? To keep the lines in the same order do I need to move the lines to the new 308? Also, I got the module new and the box has 308EC on it but the module has a label that says "012 module". Is it the right one?

Thanks,
Don

Putting the 308 in the left-most slot keeps your extensions running in order without a "hole" in them. That is, Extensions 10-17 are on the processor in the middle slot, and Extensions 18-25 will be on the 308 in slot 1. You could leave the 400 and 200 cards where they are, but then the extensions on the 308 in the 4th slot would be 30-37!

Yes, the 308 will have Lines 4 through 6, and the 400 and 200 keep counting from there. So, move the line cords to the 308 and up three ports on the other cards.

I received a couple of 308's that had 012 stickers on them for identifying the ports, so just make sure that there are 3 ports at the top part of the card, and 8 at the bottom (An 012 card would have 4 at the top and 8 at the bottom).

When the 308 is in the Partner Messaging dosn't work. Any ideas?

I think I figured it out. The 308 was before the PM and the system assigned the lines that used to be for the PM to the 308.
