add watermark to excel spreadsheet 1

I have a spreadsheet that has confidential information on it. I was asked to put a "watermark" in the background of the spreadsheet that says "confidential" in red. Is this even possible?

Strictly speaking, no.

Excel doesn't have a 'watermark' function.

But you can replicate one. I insert Word Art and set it to be semi-transparent.

Look up watermark in Excel's help - multiple methods should be covered there.

That worked perfect. I had never seen a watermark option anywhere, but that doesn't mean that you guys haven't.
