add speed bin to flex button

I am having a problem programming speed bin on a flex button. everytime i try to program the button the first key i press is a "9" and it programs the button for LCR this is on the starplus sts can any one help thanks

Program the number into a speed dial bin first, then program the flex button to be that speed dial bin number.

I programmed the speed dial bin (9001) but when i go to flex button to program it wont let me get pass the 9


on/off
speed dial twice
press flex button
then enter speed dial bin
on /off

not sure where i am going wrong
