I was in Add/Remove Programs when I uninstalled something called Untitled. Now my Add/Remove Programs window is completely blank w/grey border along the left side of the window.

How do I get my program listings back???

Programs are still in the Program Files folder and are working.

Any help is appreciated.

Thought IE6 was the problem so I ran the following repair:

rundll32 setupwbv.dll,IE6Maintenance "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Setup\SETUP.EXE" /g "C:\WINDOWS\IE Uninstall Log.Txt

After system rebooted, I get the following error:

Windows 2000 could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
\WINNT\system32\config\SYSTEM

You can attempt to repair this file by starting Windows 2000 Setup using the original Setup floppy disk or CD-ROM.
Select 'r' at the first screen to start repair.

I don't know which exact system CD came with the PC. Can I use any Windows 2000 Pro system CD?

Can I attach the hard drive to a similar PC and copy the SYSTEM file over the corrupted file?

I tried to boot from it and got the following error:

Setupreg.hiv could not be loaded. Error code 514.

Not sure whether this will help, but the last time i had this error, there was a virus on my pc. I ran Stinger (downloaded from McAfee's site), and once clean, the Add/Remove Programs list can back.

I would also run a chkdsk, since it said a file/folder was corrupted.
