Hi,

This question may not be suitable for this group but I hope someone had this experience.

When I first installed VC6++, my computer was using the CD-ROM as D:\ drive. For some reasons, now the CD-ROM has been changed to E:\ drive and I couldn't change it back to D:\ by rewiring 'cause it would be too messy. So every time when I try to add/remove VC6++ components, I got error like "Can't find D:\common\tools\...".

I want to know if there is another way to do that, I mean, can I change the registry list to do that?

Thanks.

Hi

I guess you need to update the directories for the executables in the menu 'Tools | Options' and then the tab 'Directories' and the Combo 'Executable ..."

I checked the one you mentioned but found that they are all related to c:
C:\PROGRAM FILES\MICROSOFT VISUAL STUDIO\COMMON\MSDEV98\BIN
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VC98\BIN
C:\PROGRAM FILES\MICROSOFT VISUAL STUDIO\COMMON\TOOLS
C:\PROGRAM FILES\MICROSOFT VISUAL STUDIO\COMMON\TOOLS\WIN95
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM
C:\WINDOWS
C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND

nothing is related to installation. I don't know how to change them.
