Not sure how to go about doing this. We have an Merlin Magix phone system here. There's a user, currently all set up with an ETR phone on extension 166. I want to give him ext. 151, b/c the phone company has set some DID lines and 151 is one of them.

When I call internally, ext 151 won't go anywhere. When I call it from outside, it goes directly to the receptionist. So how do I "add" this extension so that I can patch it over to his line? Is there something I need to add in WinSPM to do this?

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

First, when the call goes to the recept, what does the display say? It should say "#?DID". If so, just go under sysrenumber, extensions, single, and renumber 166 to 151 if 151 doesn't already exist in the system.

Thanks! Yes, it does say "?DID". I'm using WinSPM 9.0, but I don't see any system renumbering options. Not sure where this option is located?

Thanks again!

click the Standard SPM icon on the left. After the mlx20l emulation comes up press F1, F5, F2 is then the system renumber.
