Is there anyway to add a 3rd party SCSI driver from the recovery console of Windows 2000 Server?

The scenario is this:

Windows 2000 Server with customised build on a Compaq DL320 with the IDE controller and then saved as a Drive Image Pro image.
Identical DL320 Hardware provided but with the Compaq SCSI Controller instead of the IDE one. Image PC using the Drive Image Pro image. PC begins to boot but Blue Screens with a 'INACESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE' message.

I know the issue is because the Compaq SCSI Drivers are not installed as I can boot from an Windows 2000 CD and use the recovery console as long as I select F6 to install a 3rd party Disk Controller Driver and use the Compaq Drivers.

Is there any way I can add these drivers from the recovery console? I know I can use the Windows CD to re-install Windows and then add the Disk Controller Driver from there but it seems that something is missing from the original image if I do this.

Thanks

Andy

Not sure about SCSI and IDE but I have successfully changed the RAID controller driver on a Compaq when it crashed and I only had a newer model to hand.

I simply worked out the name of the current driver and renamed it and copied over the newer driver with the same name. Windows then picked that one up and used it when I restarted.

Highly unlikely you could do that with the IDE driver though because it is needed for CD etc. :-(
