Our BCM50 is on a different IP range. I want to move it to our network's IP range so I can manage it without having to connect directly to the BCM50 in our wiring closet. Are there any issues with doing? I'm assuming I'm going to have to plug the BCM50 into our switch and assign it an IP address in our range. Anything else I should know?

Since it's already on a network then just change the IP address on the BCM then plug it into the new network.

There is 1 issue I can think of. The BCM has a built in DHCP server. Make sure you check to see what it is setup to do. By default I think they are setup to only respond to DHCP requests seen from Nortel IP phones based on their assigned range of MAC addresses. I would turn it off completely to be safe, you do not want it to become a rogue DHCP server handing out IP addresses behind your back unless you have planned for it to act as your DHCP server.

Yes, reserve an IP for the BMC on your regular LAN, configure the new IP and plug it in.
