Add additional MCD 5.0 licenses manually

Hi,

As my CX3300 has no AMC access but my laptop does, I was wondering what process I require to carry out to add aditional licences without having to reboot the controller as I is during the working day?. I have looked at the help and seems that you can do it via the SI tool but its not very clear.

Any help appreciated.

At release 5, using the SI tool will work but it will still reboot the system. I don't see anyway around this at that SW level.

At release 6, you can use the SI tool without rebooting the system. Additionally, at release 6, you can use the SI tool to download and store the licenses in a file until uploading to the controller later
