Setup : Windows 2000/NT domain (mixed mode)
1 Exchange 5.5 server SP3

since installing the ADC on our 2000 server i have a problem. When i try to create a mailbox using Exchange 5.5 admin, the program closes without creating the m/box.
There is nothing in the event log to show why this is happening ?. I am still able to modify and delete existing m/boxes, but not create anything new. Anyone come accross this ? or have any ideas ?

Rob :)

Try installing the 5.5 Admin on a seperate computer. Use the Admin that came with the 5.5 server.

How do you have your ADC setup? Do you have a 2 way connection agreement setup From Windows to Exchange and from Exchange to Windows? Recheck this.

i have tried the agreement as a 2 way connection -same problem. Then as a 1 way -from Exchange to windows - same problem.
I'll try installing the admin program as suggested.

Monkeyman,

If installing the admin program does not work and I'm sure you already did this but figured I would ask anyway. Did you change the LDAP protocols port from 389 (usually you can use 390) in Exchange Administrator? Needs to be done in 2 places (1) Under Servers\Protocols\LDAP directory settings and (2) Configuration\Protocols\LDAP directory site defaults. The port must be changed here from Port389 to a port not being used. Active directory uses Port389.

Let me know how you make out. Curious!
