I have an IBM X345 with a Adaptec 29160 PCI SCSI adapter connected to a L200. Whenever I connect the L200 to the SCSI card and boot the machine, the card returns a SCSI configuration error 02. When L200 is turned off, the machine boots properly. I have talked to Adaptec and they have determined it's because the L200 is using an HVD SCSI connection. The 29160 only supports LVD. Please help.

You will need to purchase an HVD adapter. I beleive adaptec has the 39160 that is HVD, not sure though.

yup your scsi host adapter is incompatible with your device

Is this drive external or internal ? Check out the adaptec 2944 card that should do the trick. I have used that for most HVD drives.

The Adaptec 39160 is also a LVD card but dual channel
