What I want is an opening box saying something like "hello, thank you for calling, blah blah, please enter the extension you are calling..." and if the person doesn't respond, transfer to the operator after like 3-5 seconds of wait. In my phone system I have 5 and 6 digit extensions, so the voicemail needs to be able to handle that (I guess the caller has to push "#" to indicate that all digits have been entered). Now, I've been playing around with this, and it does take the entered digits but then it says "I'm sorry I did not hear you selection, please re-enter" and then re-starts the opening greeting.

Can someone help on this? Thank you

Ok first with regards to your opening box. Check one digit dialing. then look in the subscriber boxes or transaction boxes depending on what you are doing make sure the number you are dialing resides in there as a subscriber or as a transaction box. If it does not the VM will not know how to send the call out
