I have a Native WIndows 2003 Active Directory domain and am trying to setup a trust relationship to an NT Domain. On trying to create the NT side of the trust via User Manager an error "No Domain Controller was found for this Domain." Have tried usin gthe lmhosts file to specify the domain controller and also enabled WINs on the Domain Controler in AD. Looking at a Network trace the request for a domain controller is arriving at the AD DC, but their is no response. Is this a consequence of being a Native domain i.e. is there a task missing on the DC, which is required to service the kegacy O/S?

Im not possitive but your server environment may need to run in mixed mode, however if your environment is already in active directory mode it cannot be converted back to mixed mode, not sure if this is the problem but its a direction to investigate.

If you dont ask you wont get :)

Thanks folks. I have solved the issue, I moved my PDC emulator from an offsite DC to an onsite DC and this seems to have rectified the problem. It could be a problem with the offiste DCs configuration or even a timeout in response. Thanks again.
