AD group user Unable to access--Please help 1

The user is n AD group and he has also been manually added to the portal site.Still he is not authenticated and gets a 401 error. Everything looks fine. His browser settings and I've checked the AD group in which he exists. It has been added to the site. Pls Help
 
Thanks for your suggestion. I was able to fix the problem. The user was logging in with his UID instead of Domain\UID.
