I am heading to the final phase of implementing my Exchange server and as per MGMT this is to sit in the DMZ. Unfortunately this is non-negotiable with them no matter how hard I have tried. I moved the server to the DMZ and have been recieving the following errors since:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: MSExchangeDSAccess
Event Category: Topology
Event ID: 2114
Date: 10/12/2004
Time: 4:03:51 PM
User: N/A
Computer: EXCHANGE
Description:
Process STORE.EXE (PID=2688). Topology Discovery failed, error 0x80040a02.
And this one:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: NETLOGON
Event Category: None
Event ID: 5783
Date: 10/12/2004
Time: 4:12:05 PM
User: N/A
Computer: EXCHANGE
Description:
The session setup to the Windows NT or Windows 2000 Domain Controller \\DC.mydomain.com for the domain mydomain is not responsive. The current RPC call from Netlogon on \\EXCHANGE to \\DC.mydomain.com has been cancelled.
I have found several MS articles outlining what ports are needed for communication but the problem is still there. Anyone have any ideas??
