Hi all, I just had an issue where the first DC in the test 2003 forest went down and no one could log on, I though the 2nd DC would take over?

it could be the DNS issue. you may want to use netdiag to check them.

OK, is that a Reskit tool?

type netdiag /? from the command line. you might need to install adminpak.msi or support tools from the win2003 cd.
I forget offhand.

The correct way to get alot of info with netdiag is go to a cmd prompt type "netsh netdiag". It will tell you all the info you should want and then some.
