Hello,
I have a question regarding our AD-120.
I would like to able to call from one internal ext to another internal ext and have the AD-120 screen the call (which then gives the caller info as to how long they have been holding, options to leave a message, etc) I can get this to work from an external call but not internal.
I don't know much about the AD-120. Is this possible? Or can I do this another way? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. This forum is awesome!

PBX is a NEC 2000IPS (3700 R12.2)
V/M is a NeaxMail AD-120

I had it work fine internally and externally when I set it up and tested it.
On your transfer page within the subscriber box set the following.
-Transfer incoming calls to subscriber's phone? - YES, ring susbscribers phone.
-Transfer type: - Supervise transfer and set your rings.
- If the call is busy: This is your choice of options.
- Gather caller information: This is your choice of options.

remember that this will work when the call is transfered from the auto attendent only. It will not work on a forward to voicemail since its integration, is different and it handles a forwarded call differently then a direct dial call.
So dial your voicemail pilot and when you hear the main greeting, dial the extention and it will ask your questions then call your internal phone.

You might want to verify that the call screening is allowed in COS for that user. It must be allowed in the users Class of Service for this to work. But since you said it worked externally, then it is probabaly already allowed.

Hi Peporter and thanx for your answer, sorry for the delay, I have been out for awhile.
I can get my system to work internally as you say however if I call from an ext which has a V/M box the system thinks I am trying to access my own V/M and wants my password.
My goal here is to set up a "HelpDesk" ext which employees can call internally and then have the call holding/screening options. A call handler may be a solution but I'm not sure of all the details.
Thanks in advance.

build yourself a virtual extension and call forward that to the pilot of the voicemail. Then when your internal numbers want to dial the voicemail and not have it ask for the password, you will call the new number you just created and the system will answer normally as if you were not a user. If you want to check the voicemail messages from your phone, Dial it normally as you used to do.

You could also just dial the extension number that you have setup as your Main Greeting inside your call handlers. This will do the exact same thing that I stated above with no work required.
