Does anyone know anything about ACWZMAIN?

It is a folder that pops up occassionally in the Visual Basic Editor Project Window above my current module folder. There is also a folder named "utility" that pops up under my module folder when ACWZMAIN arrives above. Am I doing something wrong or is this some kind of glitch with Access 2000?

Last time it popped up it havoc accompanied its arrival. It doesn't seem to be doing this this time.

Thanks in advance.

ACWZMAIN.mde and UTILITY.mde are two library databases that contain Access wizard and utility routines. Their appearance in your project shouldn't really cause any problem.

I've figured out that they will definitely appear if you create references to them using Tools|References. I've occasionally done this while researching their contents (Microsoft used to document them somewhat, but has now made them MDE files and deleted all documentation).

I believe they will appear if you use certain wizards. For example, if you use the Command Button wizard to create an autodial button, the code behind the button calls a procedure in one of these libraries. It may also be that choosing button images in this wizard causes them to be included, because the images are stored in the library database.

As I said, they shouldn't normally cause any problem. If you can reproduce the problem you observed earlier, describe it for us, and maybe we can find a solution. Rick Sprague

Thanks Rick.

Sorry haven't been able to reproduce the problem. I think the problem I encountered before was caused by something else. However, it showed up at the same time, or at least soon thereafter.
