When I go to check the activity monitor it only shows 3 days. What I would like to be able to do is check back further than this. Preferably I would like to archive the log so that I can check any job status.

Is there a way to do this please? Netbackup is new to me so I am learning as I go.

Check your current config....
.
bpconfig -L
.
Change the number of days to keep logs....
.
bpconfig -kl <Number_of_days_goes_here>
.
Hope this helps......

Thanks for that. I did manage to change the Keep Logs parameter but that didn't achieve what I want. I need to be able to export the information from the activity log for one month at a time.

Do you know of a way to do this?

Thanks in advance.

Andrew.

From Veritas:
Create a file named job.conf under the "<install path>\Veritas\netbackup\db\jobs\" directory.

Then, in the job.conf file, add an entry as follows:

keep_days <number_of_days_to_retain_entries>

where <number_of_days_to_retain_entries> is the numerical value for the number of days to retain the job information in the <Activity Monitor>. The maximum value is 30.

An example of a job.conf entry that would keep job information for 21 days:

keep_days 21

Note: A space must be entered between keep_days and the number desired.

Thanks very much for that. I have created the file and can use the activity monitor to copy to a .csv for achiving.

Regards

Andrew.
