I am running some backup jobs on an BAB v9 server at the moment and the Activity Log is completely empty and the job logs for all of my jobs is also empty.
I recycled the BrightStor domain service and then the activity log now is being written to but only for a few seconds. As soon as I click away onto something else and back again then the actifity log will not be displayed. Also the job logs don't seem to be created.
Check for the
Brighstor BA Domain service to be runnining ,like speshalist mention. If not try restarting the service.
This was all I needed when I had this problem.
I actually had to remove and re-install my BAB server to get the issue solved.
The caloggerd.exe was dying (not sure why) this was preventing the logs from getting written.
To get it going again I had to recycle the Domain svc. but then the caloggerd would only stay running for a short period of time. It seems the thing that caused the caloggerd to die was when I tried to access a job log.
