Activity log file error message when exiting outlook 2002

I am running XPP Desktop operating system with XPP Office Suite.

I am also running McAfee Defence Suite 4.5.1

When I exit from Outlook 2000 I get the following error message: "Unable to open the activity log file
C:\program files\network associates\virus scan\webemail.txt
This file is either write protected or locked by an other"

This locks up the system and the only way to clear it is to end task 3 times.

Does anyone have a fix for this?

Install SP1 for VirusScan 4.51. This ensures XP compatibility.

Hi.
If the user has no Modify permissions on the "C:\Program Files\Network Associates\VirusScan" folder, give him the Modify permissions Also check the "Replace permission entries on all child objects..."
and then it will work.

I added the user and gave the modify permission to the virus folder as recommended and this seems to have done the trick.
