Activity Log Empty in BAB 11.1 SP2 (3200)

Hello,
I have a situation where the Activity log is empty. The Job log works but the activity log would work for only certain items. I followed the instructions in the thread478-1177907 thread. I set all of the filters to show everything and stopped all services using the "cstop" command along with making sure that caloggerd.exe is not running, but when i try to rename the LOG folder I get "Access Denied. Make sure file is not write protected or in use."

Any ideas?

I did reboot but it still kept me from changing the name. I just went in with process explorer and killed everything that had CA tied to it and that allowed me to change it.

Unfortunately my original issue still stands. My activity log is completely empty.

Any other ideas?

Next step is to go after a corrupt job or queue.
cstop, close the manager
Rename the subdirectory 00000001.qsd
cstart and try it out.

If it still does not work well then all I can think of is to reinstall.
 
We can also try renaming the log directory under c:\pgm files\CA\BAB

cstop before renaming and cstart after renaming it. If it does not allow to rename the directory, you may have to try killing igateway.exe from task manager
