ActiveX Viewer Problem

Users download ActiveX Viewer and receive no error messages after download. But when some users attempt to open reports all they are getting is a gray screen? Browser settings are the same as those who can view reports. Tried removing the viewer and re-downloading, but still nothing but a gray screen after re-downloading. Any Ideas?

Gray with red x in the corner?

Does user has at least Power User rights?

Try this..
Right click of the IE icon, go to Properties..Settings..View Objects and delete any references to Crystal Viewers that may be there ( while
there , you can also delete any that say 'unknown' or 'damaged' )

Next time the user goes to run a report, assuming Power User or above), it should install.

Are these users on a different segement, externally connecting via a firewall, or running Norton Internet Security software (or similar)?

Some Firewall/Internet Security settings will limit ActiveX controls even if they are installed.
