Okay I have 2 servers replicating AD back and fourth Server A all is working as it should Server B however I am having a big problem. If I open up DSA.MSC (the Active Directory Users and Computers mmc), then I highlight our domain and I click on the Find the Find Objects in Active Directory button I get an error The title of the box is Active Directory the error in the box is "Windows cannot create the Find Dialog box because; No such interface supported."

Let me tell you what i have tried. I have tried a process viewer to show me what files the working msc used and which ones the "broken" on was using but this yieled no information. I also tried to install the Administrators Pack over the top hoping any needed "hook" would install but this did not fix it either.

Any other thoughts?

Have you recently upgraded to Sp1? I think there may be a new adminpak for SP1 FYI. I am not 100% sure, but I know several other packages, like support tools, updated with SP1.

Service pack 1 has not been installed on either of these 2 machines yet.

Other than installing SP1 or doing an OS repair, I would maybe delete the dsa files and reloading the adminpak.msi.

Well I tried the repair and adding SP1 to these servers is out (corperate policy dictates out service pack levels).

What are all the DSA files that dsa.msc is dependant upon? Can I just rip them out safely? (I don't want to render the rest of the server useless). At this point a fresh install over ripped out items looks okay but I don't know whatelse its dependant upon (especially the part that uses this Finda function it can't find)
