Active Directory sites and Services

Hello, I have a network with a about 80 computers and one server. All pc's are hooked up to the same switch and use the same gateway...we only have one subnet 192.168.0.x (x from 1 to 254 ). when I go to Active Directory Sites and services in my server under the "subnets" folder there is nothing, no subnet at all....is this wrong? should I add my subnet there??...should it have been added automatically by the server?Please help..Thanks

Its fine dont worry about it. Subnetting is for enviornments with multiple subnets and multiple DC's.

Thanks so much!, I thought that maybe if I added the subnet there, performance would be faster.

If you're trying to improve performance on your network, the first place you should look is in that "one" server you have. What are the specs for that server? Is it VERY HIGH END or just a regular server? How old is it? Is it performing every job - i.e. Domain controller, DNS, DHCP, etc? What is your gateway, a router or firewall? For each, are they built to handle the load for 80+ nodes? Also, on your switches, are they managed or unmanaged?

Server is a dell dimension 4600, 256mb of ram, 2.4 ghz processor, Window Server 2003 Enterprise Edition...i acutally have only 50 pc's

I would get at least 2 gig of ram in that box as soon as you can. i wouldnt run my PDA on 256mb of ram much less a domain controller.
