Hi there,
I'm trying to write a logon script for our active server environment. The point of the logon is to have everyone click the accept button at the bottom of a proper use policy.

Ideally, I'd like to have the information uploaded into a database, and the question no be asked again once the logon is successful, but first I need to get the initial logon written.

Does anyone know where I can find some good tutorials for this?

Thanks
Eric

Personally I'd use the LegalDisclaimer option which can be pushed out using a GPO. Then they have to click OK every time they logon. I don't think logon scripts are what you want.

I agree, the registry option (LegalDisclaimer) does exactly what you require. You can enable it locally or remotely via a GP. We use them here for some machines.

You can find out how here.

Carlsberg don't run I.T departments, but if they did they'd probably be more fun.

Hey there,
My boss wants me to write an actual program so that people only need to click on it once. She also wants me to be able to track when the disclaimer was agreed to, for legal reasons.

Thanks
Eric

If this is a one off, would a signed document not be more suitable?
